Oral health practitioners are crucial to the dental team, and students who complete this degree will be qualified in dental hygiene and dental therapy, as well as have skills in oral promotion and education.

Westmead Centre of Oral Health

In the first year, students will receive the groundwork knowledge in anatomy, biology, chemistry, physics, sociology and psychology, as well as being introduced to the foundations of oral health theory and practice. The second and third years of the degree will take place at teaching hospitals, where students will expand their practical skills, as well as learn about the promotion of oral health and education.

Core units: Foundations of Oral Health 1-6; Oral Health Clinical Practice (Introduction); Life Sciences 1-4; Oral Health Clinical Practice 1-5 and; Oral Health in Society 1-3.

Entry Requirements              

HSC or equivalent.
Students must undertake a Personal Qualities Assessment (PQA). Successful applicants will undertake Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)
