Queensland

The third largest state in Australia in terms of population and the second largest in terms of area, Queensland is characterised by its picturesque beaches that run the length of the state 'from Coolangatta to Cape York'. In terms of universities, there are eight and they stretch from the Gold Coast to tropical Cairns.

Griffith University

Plans to build Griffith University (named after former Premier and Chief Justice of Australia) began in 1970, with the State Government granting permission to build within the Toohey National Forest, 10 kilometres south of what is now, Brisbane City Centre.
